Spike Lee

Well tonight was the Spike Lee Event, and it was a lot more entertaining than I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be mostly a discussion on his politics and then he would give his social commentary, but I was glad that the majority of the discussion was on his career and basically a motivational speech for us to take school seriously. Mr. Lee was very smart and very funny, and his speech and the Q & A were incredibly interesting. I feel fortunate that he took the time to visit BSC, and I was glad that he took time at the end to sign autographs and answer more questions. If anyone else has anything to say about this, I would love to discuss.

oscar predictions

Since the Oscars are coming up soon, I decided to share my thoughts on who I believe will win on Feb 24th.

Best Actor- Daniel Day-Lewis
Best Supporting Actor- Javier Bardem
Best Actress- Julie Christie
Best Supporting Actress- Tilda Swinton
Best Director- The Coen Brothers
Best Picture- No Country For Old Men

I recommend everyone sees the five nominated movies (well four of them , Atonement you can skip) they are all great. Please post your thoughts/predictions, I would be interested to know what you all think.
